Effective leadership is critical to organizational success in the 21st century. However, anyone who has filled any type of leadership position, whether formal or informal, knows that leadership effectiveness is inextricably linked to leadership context, and leadership context is less and less open to control. This loss of control exists because of the particularly volatile conditions of the 21st century. Some of the biggest challenges currently facing individuals and businesses alike are conditions known collectively as volatility, uncertainty, complexity, and ambiguity, or VUCA for short. This webinar, based on our book of the same title will share the thoughtful analysis of nine authors from around the globe who put VUCA under the microscope to provide sense-making and insights that are combined with practical tips and frameworks to help leadership thrive in this new VUCA context. The webinar will suggest ways in which organizational leadership can seek to develop both the self and the organization to systemically and ethically address VUCA with innovation, collaboration, and cultural intelligence, while also effectively managing the self with resilience and flow, and supporting everyone in the organization with effective systems coaching.
- A clear definition and understanding of the positive dimensions of VUCA in a globalized context
- Suggestions for effective systems leadership and self leadership within the VUCA context
- Suggestions for leveraging organizational effectiveness within Terra Incognitae!
