I am an enthusiastic member of ILA primarily because its annual conferences are the most exciting and intellectually challenging meetings I have ever attended. The ILA offers three types of memberships: Individual, Institutional, and Premier Corporate.
In addition to the membership benefits listed below, your membership will contribute to the continued development of a global network for all those who practice, study and teach leadership.
* Memberships are good for 1 or 2 years from receipt and are
on a rolling (not a calendar year) basis.
* Membership dues are on a sliding scale based on income and are listed below
Individual Membership
As an individual, when you join the ILA, you will receive the following membership benefits:
- A free online subscription to Leadership Quarterly (calendar year '08); Print subscriptions are available to ILA members for $50 US (2008), a savings of $97 off of the regular price.
- A free electronic subscription to Leadership Excellence: The Magazine of Leadership Development, Managerial Effectiveness and Organizational Productivity.
- A Discount on conference registration fees (Note: if an individual member is a student who is in school fulltime and not employed fulltime, he/she is eligible for additional discounts to the conference)
- A subscription to ILA's e-newsletter, The Member Connector
- A complimentary copy of ILA's annual volume of cutting-edge leadership essays in the Building Leadership Bridges series, as well as membership savings on additional copies
- A complimentary copy of ILA's annual Conference Proceedings on CD-ROM

Institutional Memberships
If your department, program, organization, or company is involved in the field of leadership, you should consider joining at an institutional level. Institutional benefits apply to four individuals in your institution whom you designate. You may change beneficiaries at anytime during the course of your membership. When your institution joins ILA, you will receive the following benefits:
- All the benefits of individual membership will be extended to four people. Additional people may be added to institutional memberships for an additional 20% of the membership rate per person. Contact ILA for details, if you wish to add more than four people to your institutional membership.
- Organizational listing in the conference program
- Institutional Member savings on the placement of Job Announcements on ILA's Web site, listserv, and newsletter
- Institutional Member savings on the placement of advertisements in ILA's conference program book and other publications
- Additional opportunities to feature your program made available only to Institutional Members.
Premier Corporate Membership
Create your own membership package by becoming a Premier Corporate Member! PCM benefits can include, among others, branding opportunities on the ILA Web site and Conference Promotional material, free conference registrations, special opportunities at the conference to meet with business thought leaders, unlimited electronic memberships for corporate staff and leaders.
