Evolution of Influence: Youth Lead seeks to engage global dialogue on how the approach to youth leadership and youth activism has changed over the years. As the access to resources and technology have increased, how has this created innovation and influenced youth leadership development? Presentations will frame discussions on how our work with youth across cultures and sectors has evolved and the impacts youth leadership development have had on how youth live and function in society.
Why a virtual conference? Evolution of Influence: Youth Lead is derived from the need to create opportunities to engage global participants around the topic of youth leadership. Recognizing that physical conference attendance can be an obstacle to participation, innovative avenues must be utilized to engage our constituency and keep them connected and inspired.
This virtual conference will engage global participants by utilizing video conference technology. Hosted by the International Leadership Association Youth Leadership member interest group, the conference will take place on September 20th and 21st, via video conferencing. Interactive sessions will 75 minutes each with 40 minutes allocated to a presentation and 35 minutes allocated to engage attendees in discussion around the presentation topic.
Presenters will lead sessions that are framed around their programs or research.
Space for each session is limited to 25 participants; therefore selecting a session does not guarantee access to conference.
Session participants will receive an email on September 13 with the log-in instructions for their session.
