Program Vision:

Program Mission: There are many variables that determine how well an organization or company operates. Effective communication and conflict resolution, process evaluation, professional competence and effective management are examples of the components necessary for businesses to succeed. Often, shortcomings in any of these areas can be traced back to the ways employees are selected or trained, share information or interact. Industrial and organizational psychologists use their knowledge of human behavior to address these challenges. When you choose Grand Canyon University's Master of Science in Psychology with an Emphasis in Industrial and Organizational Psychology, you can study the scientific principles of psychology as they apply to a working environment. This master’s in psychology degree program focuses on producing usable data relating to workplace performance that could lead to greater profitability. Curriculum is aligned to the standards and recommendations set forth by the American Psychological Association.

Institutional Mission: GCU prepares you to become a global citizen, critical thinker, effective communicator and responsible leader by providing an academically challenging, values-based curriculum from the context of our Christian heritage. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you with the skills and knowledge demanded in the contemporary job market.
