Program Vision:

Program Mission: The role and importance of Christian leadership is rapidly changing, as are the opportunities to impact lives. The skills, background knowledge and experience needed by those who wish to devote their lives to ministry in our modern world must provide a wide range of leadership and ministry skills to serve their communities.

Institutional Mission: GCU prepares you to become a global citizen, critical thinker, effective communicator and responsible leader by providing an academically challenging, values-based curriculum from the context of our Christian heritage. Our curriculum is designed to prepare you with the skills and knowledge demanded in the contemporary job market. You are challenged to develop these tools and to push your intellectual limits in order to thrive in your career. In addition, our curriculum fosters personal discovery to help you realize within yourself the elements of compassion and accountability. A uniquely important element of the GCU mission statement is the defining attribute of our Christian heritage. The GCU community defines our culture by the way our members reflect a committed relationship with Christ. These normative Christian values are integral to the development, maturity and education of ethical and morally respectable citizens who continue on the path of lifelong learning. When you graduate from GCU, we expect you to take action as a global citizen, critical thinker, effective communicator and responsible leader.
