Case Study

The presentation of detailed information about a specific, actual, leadership challenge or problem. Individuals analyze the situation from different perspectives, presenting their opinions on how best to solve the problem.

Conversation with Author

Lecture or talk given by an author of a recently published book.

Debate

The presentation of two opposing viewpoints on a particular topic. Each viewpoint has an allotted amount of time for presentation of arguments and rebuttal. A moderator is used to offer an overview of the topic, maintain the format structure, and close the session.

Interactive Roundtable

The roundtable format is an open discussion presentation where the presenter gives context based on his/her subject perspective, and then facilitates a unique discussion with conference attendees. The purpose of the roundtables is for there to be a shared discussion, including both presenters and participants, about the topic at the table. Presenters do not deliver formal presentations, however, are responsible for providing depth on the subject and context, and then facilitating the discussion with a group of individuals whom are passionate about the topic. All Roundtable discussions are facilitated during the specified Interactive Roundtable Session.

Panel Discussion

Presentations and/or discussions by one or more people with contrasting or complementary points of view. Note: if you submit as an individual under this format, make sure you check the box requesting that ILA group you with other submissions to form a complete session.
