Registering Online

Q: How do I register to attend the 2016 conference online?

Log into our Online Registration Form and follow the prompts to complete your registration. Please note the form is several pages long, be sure you have reached the end and click "Submit" to register successfully.

If you quit your registration form before submission it will be saved to your ILA account and you can continue where you left off by signing into the form with your ILA credentials again.

Q: Do membership dues include conference fees? Must I renew my membership at the time of registration?

The conference registration fee is not included in member dues, however, ILA members recieve conference registration discounts of over $100! View the registration rates for this year's conference.

To receive the ILA member discount on registration fees your membership must be current through at least November 5, 2016. Regardless of membership status, you must register for the conference if you plan to participate in any session.

If your membership expires before November 5th, please renew prior to registering online by submitting the appropriate renewal form.

Q: Do all presenters and session participants have to register for the 2016 conference?

Yes. Per the ILA Conference Registration and Attendance Policy, all attendees, including individuals scheduled to present on the official ILA Conference Program, are required to register and pay the appropriate registration fee in order to participate in any capacity at the conference. This includes: authors, coordinators, discussants, facilitators, hosts, distinguished speakers, moderators, organizers, speakers, participants, presenters, panelists, placement interviewers, secretaries, treasurers, and any volunteers.

Regardless of membership status, you must register for the conference if you plan to participate in any session. To receive the ILA member discount on registration fees your membership must be current through at least November 5, 2016.

Q: How do I register someone else for the 2016 conference?

If you are completing the Online Registration Form on behalf of someone other than yourself, make sure you are logged in as that individual and fill in ONLY their information on the registration form. Log out of the system after completing the individual's registration.

Any name, contact, or privacy information changes made on the Online Registration Form will permanently overwrite and update the account of the logged-in person. To obtain your registrant's account credentials please use the "Forgot Password/Username" section below OR ask the individual(s) you are registering. The ILA cannot disclose account details for security reasons.

Q: How do I register several individuals/a group for the 2016 conference?

To ensure the registration process goes smoothly, please email conferences@ila-net.org for assistance if you are registering on behalf of more than one individual or a group.

Q: I am already registered for the 2016 conference. How do I purchase event tickets for myself/guest(s)?

- If you've already registered: log into the Online Registration Form, fill out pg 1 of the form again and click "Continue." On pg 2 select "I've already submitted a paid registration ..." and make your ticket selections on pgs 3-4

- If you are ONLY attending a ticketed event and not the conference: log into the Online Registration Form, fill out pg 1 of the form again and click "Continue." On pg 2 select "I'm not attending the full conference ...", and make ticket selections on pgs 3-4

All event ticket purchases will be noted on the back of your conference namebadge. If you purchased a ticket for a guest that is not attending the rest of the conference, please make sure to arrive at the event together in order to be properly checked in.

Q: I have received a special code to be entered when I register, where do I include it?

A special code can be applied to your registration on the payment page of the Online Registration Form. Please log into the form, fill it out completely and click "Submit" on the last page to be taken to payment. Find the Discount Code box in the upper left corder of your screen, type in your code and click "Apply". Any fee adjustments should reflect in your total due immediately. Please note that only one special code can be applied at a time.

Alternative Registration Methods

Q: I cannot submit my registration online. Can I mail or fax my registration instead?

Yes, we are able to accept mailed or faxed registrations. If you are unable to register online due to technical reasons (username/password issues) please contact us at conferences@ila-net.org to receive assistance.

Q: I submitted my registration by fax or mail. How long will it take to process it?

Registration forms are typically processed within 5 business days of receipt. If you need to be registered any earlier, you may complete your registration online for immediate confirmation. All registrants will receive an email confirmation once the registration and payment have been processed successfully.

Registration Fees

Q: I cannot attend the entire 2016 conference. Is there a one-day registration rate?

The registration fees are a flat rate based on the registrant category. We do not offer a discounted rate for abbreviated attendance. View the registration rates for this year's conference.

Q: What do conference registration fees include?

Your conference registration includes access to all conference sessions, keynote addresses, refreshment breaks, opening reception, meet the author reception, the exhibit area, and other non-ticketed events.

You may also opt to maximize your conference experience by registering for ticketed pre and post-conference workshops and other special events and meals.

Q: My family member would like to attend my presentation at the conference. Do they have to register?

If your guest is only attending the session you are presenting in, registration is not required.

A special Session Pass namebadge must be picked up for your guest(s) from the ILA Check-In and Help Desk at the Hyatt Regency hotel during the conference to allow access into your session. Please note that presenters and conference registrants have priority access to session rooms in the event a session room fills to capacity. Please return the Session Pass namebadge to the ILA after your session is complete.

Guest reception tickets are available for sale to guests who would like to accompany conference registrants to the ILA Welcome Reception on November 2, 2016. Please note tickets are non-refundable.

Registration Payment

Q: How can I pay for my registration with a check or wire transfer?

To pay by wire transfer contact us at conferences@ila-net.org for our wire transfer details. Please make sure you wire the complete amount in USD ($) to cover your registration PLUS any associated wire transfer fees.

If you elected to pay by check or wire transfer, your payment must be received within 30 days of your registration submission or your registration will be subject to cancellation and deletion.

Q: How do I obtain a receipt of payment for my 2016 conference registration?

If you have paid by credit card you should receive 2 emails upon submitting your registration online: one to confirm succesful submission of your registration, including a receipt of what was paid for, and one from our credit card processor confirming successful processing of your credit card payment. If you did not receive either of these emails please check your spam folder(s) and contact us at conferences@ila-net.org.

If you paid by check or wire transfer and require a receipt for your records please contact us at conferences@ila-net.org.

Hotel and Accommodations

Q: Where can I stay for the duration of the conference? Does ILA offer a special hotel booking rate?

The 2016 conference is being held at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta Hotel. The ILA encourages you to book your stay at the Hyatt Regency to allow for easy access to conference events.

A special ILA room block will be available until October 7, 2016 or until the block is full. Learn more about special ILA hotel rates and book your room online.

Q: How do I contact other attendees if I would like to share a hotel room/split room costs?

All conference registrants are enrolled in the 2016 Conference Community inside of ILA's new online member community portal ILA Intersections. This forum allows you to easily seek out roomates by posting a thread with your room-sharing details or searching existing threads made by other registrants.

To access the community simply sign in with your ILA account credentials.

Cancellations and Substitutions

Q: I must cancel my registration for the 2016 conference. How do I do this and will I receive a refund?

Cancellation Deadline: October 3, 2016

To cancel your registration please contact the ILA in writing at conferences@ila-net.org by no later than October 3, 2016. All cancellations must be emailed by October 3, 2016. Conference registration cancellations received by this date are refundable, less a $75.00 fee. Ticketed event cancellations received by this date are refundable, less a $10.00 fee. No refunds can be issued after October 3, 2016.

Q: I would like to substitute someone to attend the 2016 conference in my place. How do I do this?

Substitution Deadline: October 19, 2016

To submit your substitution for consideration please contact the ILA in writing at conferences@ila-net.org by no later than October 19, 2016. Substitutions are subject to a $50.00 processing fee. No substitutions can be made after October 19, 2016.

Other Questions

Q: How can I acquire a Certificate of Attendance for the 2016 conference?

The ILA will be able to issue Certificates of Attendance for the ILA 2016 Atlanta starting November 14, 2016. If you require a Certificate please contact us at conferences@ila-net.org with your details and please allow up to 15 business days for processing. You will be emailed the Certificate at the email address on file for your 2016 registration.

Please note that the ILA cannot issue Continuing Education Credits (CEC's).

Q: How do I obtain a letter of invitation to the 2016 conference for a visa application?

You will be able to generate a personalized letter of invitation for your visa application online. To do so, please fill out our Visa Invitation Letter form. Please note that the ILA is not able to assist with your visa application process beyond the issuance of your letter of invitation to the conference. Any questions about your visa or the visa application process must be directed to the appropriate consulate.

Q: I am conference presenter. How do I find out my presentation time/date/room?

Navigate to the ILA 2016 Atlanta conference portal and select the "Browse by Person" option from the Browse/Search menu on the left-hand side of the page. Simply type in your name and click search. All sessions that include you as a participant will display with times, dates, and room locations.
