Past Events and Activities
2015: Hosted the Developing Cross-Generational and Cross Boarder Leaders Through the Eyes of a Family Owned, Spanish Winery, pre-conference workshop in ILA Barcelona.

2014:
Hosted the walkable reflection labrynth at ILA San Diego.

2013: Organized the Achieving Organizational Goals Amidst Continuous Change pre-conference workshop at ILA Montreal to bring leaders and leadership development practitioners together to uncover new areas for research and value add.

About JENNIFER MOSS BREEN

Jennifer Moss Breen fully embraces the notion that scholars and practitioners must work collaboratively to solve the challenges present in our global economy. In this sense, she believes that bringing together those who can benefit from organizational research (business leaders) and those who create research (scholars) in a purposeful and relevant way can ultimately improve society.

She serves as the inaugural Director of Bellevue University's Ph.D. Program in Human Capital Management. In this role, she witnesses the challenges business leaders (her students) face on a daily basis. Guiding her students to theory-based, yet practical, solutions, equips them with fresh ideas. Additionally, by closely linking the scholarly and practitioner worlds, she believes we can create informed consumers of knowledge (business leaders) and energized creators of knowledge (scholars). Her energy is kindled by knowing that our work as scholars can truly improve organizational thinking. Fueled through collaboration with and service to business leaders, scholarly work is brought back to the historical roots laid by the likes of Mintzberg, Latham, and Bass.

Her education includes four degrees from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln including a Bachelor of Science in Business Education, a Masters of Arts Degree in Quantitative and Qualitative Psychometric Measures, a Masters of Science Degree in Leadership Education and a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies.

Jennifer's passions outside of work include running, nature, sunshine and fresh air! While indoors, Jennifer loves to cook, read, watch movies and play with her youngest child, Jacqui. She and her family live in Omaha, NE. Yes, she is a Cornhusker fan too! ×

About JOLEEN ARCHIBALD

Joleen Archibald aims to utilize her own work to narrow the scientist-practitioner gap. The scientist-practitioner gap is described as the informational divide between the knowledge that academics produce and the knowledge that practitioners consume. She has created Leadership Archways as a blog resource for today's busy business professionals, which features interviews with top experts. The purpose was to create an archway to understand the scholarship of leadership and how it applies to today's business world; current readership is in over 65 countries.

Joleen Archibald has 6 years of experience as an Organizational Development consultant and 10 years of managerial experience. As a Leadership and Organizational Development practitioner, her objective is to bridge theory to practice. To bridge the divide between academic research and management practice in organizations, more efforts need to be focused on increasing cooperation and communication. Her experience and scholarship allows her to consult with rigor and the ability to drive organizational and leadership outcomes. Some key focus areas include engagement, goal setting, performance management, high-potential development, and other leadership strategies to build bench strength across the organization. Her aim is to leverage human capital data to deliver innovative yet practical solutions that help drive performance in the dynamic and rapidly changing business environment.

Her education includes degrees from Claremont Graduate University; a Masters of Arts in Organizational Behavior and Evaluation and a Ph.D. in Organizational Behavior with a specialization in Leadership. Here undergraduate degree was a Bachelor of Arts from Chapman University in Psychology.

Outside of work, Joleen Archibald enjoys being active, traveling, and playing with her three dogs Apollo, Artemis, and Oscar. Some of her favorite activities include going to the dog park, running, hiking, lifting, yoga, snowboarding, painting, and scuba diving. Joleen is also an avid sports fan and follows the Lakers, Clippers, Angels, and the Bears. She lives in Los Angeles California with her three dogs. ×

About JAMES KANAGWA

A Revolutionary, Pan African Executive with an extensive background in Project Management, Finance and Strategy. His professional experience includes more than 18 years of Commercial Banking, Corporate Development (M & A), consulting, strategic studies and Risk management. Currently he is the Country Representative (Ethiopia) for ECOBANK Group; previously he was a Senior Executive, ECOBANK Uganda responsible for Domestic Business including Government Institutions. Prior to that he was a Corporate Development officer (Project Manager), East & Southern Africa sub region for ECOBANK Group, whose mandate was to assist with the setting up of the Bank in the sub region. He also worked as a Senior Manager with Barclays Bank, Nile Bank Uganda and a Senior Mortgage officer, Origination and Construction finance with Housing Finance Bank Uganda.

James holds a Doctorate in Business Administration (DBA) from Walden University, USA, an MBA degree from ESAMI Business School, a BCOM degree from Panjab University INDIA and a Diploma in National Security from Galilee College ISRAEL. He is an alumnus of HARVARD Kennedy School, USA, INSEAD, FRANCE, Wharton School USA, CSCI SINGAPORE, GE Crotonville USA, after having completed Executive education. He is an FAA licensed Pilot in Command for medium aircrafts and also a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing –UK, Chartered Management Institute UK ( Chartered Fellow), Project Management Institute – USA, International Leadership Association (ILA), USA, Center for Islamic Banking & Economics (CIBE) PAKISTAN, Strategic Management Society – USA, Milken Institute – USA, Rotary International (PHF), Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and a Fellow with the Royal society of arts (FRSA), UK. ×
