Over the last decade, we have witnessed an enormous expansion in the flow of information as well as the creation of new ways to communicate that were previously unthinkable. Along with these new capabilities, however, we are also experiencing increased complexity and uncertainty. In this Forum, Alain Guathier shows how collective learning is the key to competitive advantage in the information age. As we learn together information is transformed into knowledge, and meaning emerges out of the surrounding noise. Those leaders who are able to harness people's natural curiosity, desire to learn, and search for meaning will create high-performance organisations that adapt quickly to their environment and create additional value. This Forum will enable leaders to see their role in a new light. Not only will the tools that support collective learning be presented, but participants will experience them directly as well. About Alain Gauthier Alain Gauthier's current focus as a consultant, facilitator, and educator is on executive team development as a prerequisite for cultivating deep and lasting change in organisations. He has served over the past 39 years a large variety of client organisations in Europe and the United States, including Hewlett Packard, Shell, Groupe Danone, The Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition, and Oxfam. He is currently the Executive Director of Core Leadership Development in Oakland, CA and devotes half of his time to his clients in Europe.
