Distinguished Leadership Award
The ILA bestows this award annually at the
conference in recognition to an individual or group's leadership
in their given field. Past recipients include leadership
scholars like James MacGregor Burns and Warren Bennis as
well as the Fire Department of New York City.

Honorees
Vaclav Havel welcomes the International
Leadership Association to Prague for its 11th annual
conference then shares a few thoughts on leadership and
the role he played in the Velvet Revolution as he
accepts the 2009 Distinguished Leadership Award. A
