Josh serves as the Coordinator of Conferences
and Member Communities for the ILA. He is responsible for
organizing the Annual Global Conference and is the point-person
for Member Interest Groups, Learning Communities, and Affinity
Groups.
Josh first began his work in the Leadership
Studies field at James Madison University, where he received
his B.S. in Psychology. At JMU, Josh worked to create a
Leadership Studies program for the university. In addition,
Josh founded the JMU/Harrisonburg Food Fight Against
Hunger, an annual social action fundraising event to
combat hunger in the Blue Ridge Mountain region and around
the world.
Josh earned his Master’s degree in Organizational
Leadership from Vanderbilt University. At Vanderbilt, Josh
co-created the Peabody College Career Center and designed
the Center’s original curriculum which prepares students
for their post-graduate careers and coaches them through
each step of their pre-career development process.
Prior to arriving at the ILA, Josh worked
as an Account Executive at MARC USA, an advertising agency
in Chicago, Illinois. In this capacity, Josh served as the
primary marketing contact for two accounts; managing campaign
logistics, coordinating project teams, and creating significant
member relationships.
Josh is a sports enthusiast, and enjoys
exercising, playing soccer (football), listening to music,
and traveling.
